Jersey Gardens announces Solar Rooftop Unveiling
Jersey Gardens, New Jersey’s largest outlet mall, will unveil its first solar panel on Tuesday, June 28 at 10 am outside Entrance C at the mall. Join local dignitaries, partners and guests as Jersey Gardens cuts the ribbon on the first of 15,000 solar panels. Scheduled speakers include Marshal Loeb, President of Glimcher Realty Trust; Senator Lesniak; Mayor Chris Bollwage, City of Elizabeth; and John Conley, SunPower Corporation.
Glimcher Realty Trust (NYSE: GRT), one of the country’s premier retail REITs, will launch one of the largest single-rooftop solar systems in North America at Jersey Gardens. The 4.8MW solar array will generate enough power to offset 11 percent of the electrical consumption of the mall.
Following the unveiling, representatives from Glimcher Realty Trust, Sunpower Corporation, and Clean Focus will be on hand for interviews and to lead tours on the rooftop.
Jersey Gardens, with 1.3 million square feet of leasable space, is one of the largest properties in Glimcher’s regional mall portfolio and is one of the top international tourist destinations in New Jersey.
