NEW IHOP At Jersey Gardens Mall in Elizabeth NJ, GEARS UP FOR NATIONAL PANCAKE DAY 2011
Jersey Gardens IHOP raises funds for Children´s Specialized Hospital on National Pancake Day 2011
Elizabeth, NJ, – A brand new IHOP is pulling out all the stops to raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals on National Pancake Day, this March 1, 2011.
Having just opened in April 2010, Jersey Gardens IHOP in Elizabeth wasted no time in getting involved in the community. In fact, the restaurant has a goal of raising $5,000 for the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals beneficiary, Children´s Specialized Hospital.
“National Pancake day is a day to give back to the community,” said owner Sobhy Abdelhady. “Knowing that the money we raise will help save a child is a great feeling and makes us work harder.”
As a part of the national partnership between IHOP and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, National Pancake Day has been celebrated for the past five years. Jersey Gardens is one of 1,483 IHOP restaurants throughout the United States that will invite guests to enjoy a free short stack of IHOP’s signature buttermilk pancakes from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m on March 1, 2011, the sixth annual National Pancake Day. In return, IHOP guests are asked to donate what they would have paid for the free pancakes, or more, to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Additionally, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals “Miracle Balloons” have been sold for $1 and $5 each and will be personalized and displayed at participating IHOP restaurants from February 1 through March 1, 2011. Miracle Balloons offer guests an additional way to show their support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and contribute to the IHOP National Pancake Day fundraising effort.
The celebration is designed to bring together friends and family, as well as to nationally raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children’s hospitals. Since the inception of National Pancake Day in 2006, IHOP has raised over $5.35 million and given away 10.1 million pancakes to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
