Timberland Presence Grows in Tristate Area with Jersey Gardens Store Opening
May 24, 2009, Stratham, NH – Timberland is proud to announce the opening today of their newest Timberland® factory store, located at the Jersey Gardens Mall in Elizabeth, New Jersey. The store is part of Timberland’s global strategy to give consumers access to the brand and immerse them in Timberland’s outdoor heritage, quality craftsmanship, modern design and industry-leading approach to sustainability.
The new Timberland® Jersey Gardens Mall store, located in the mall at 651 Kapkowski Road, will celebrate its grand opening on May 24 and May 25 with a special offer to shoppers of 20% off any purchase of $50 or more. In addition, Timberland will host a raffle for customers to enter to win one of two $100 gift certificates to the store.
The 4,061 square foot Jersey Gardens Mall store follows Timberland’s innovative marketplace-inspired retail model used around the world. The store will showcase nearly 300 different styles of men’s, women’s and kids’ footwear, apparel and accessories. The open, flowing store plan allows consumers to comfortably, organically interact with the brand in an environmentally responsible space.
“We are proud to be employing green building practices and materials to reduce the Jersey Gardens store’s footprint on the environment, as we have done with many of our retail locations around the world,” said John Trott, vice president of consumer direct, Timberland North America. “Our goal is to tread lightly on the environment while also creating a modern, engaging shopping environment for our consumers.” To achieve this, the store features energy-efficient lighting, recycled metal, reclaimed and FSC certified poplar wood and no-VOC paint. In addition, the storefront sign uses the latest LED technology for maximum energy efficiency. The Timberland® Jersey Gardens store will open on Sunday, May 24, 2009.
