JERSEY GARDENS ANNOUNCES EARTH DAY CELEBRATION

Jersey Gardens, in conjunction with Union County and the City of Elizabeth, will be hosting an Earth Day Celebration for shoppers on Saturday, April 25, 2009.

The Union County Mobile Paper Shredding Unit will be on site in the East parking lot from 9am – noon for shoppers to prevent identity theft and save trees by shredding confidential papers and documents. All of the documents will be shredded while the customer waits.

Project Porchlight will be on-site by the food court distributing ENERGY STAR qualified CFL light bulbs to shoppers

The celebration also includes activities for families:

• Jersey Gardens will host the Patricia Shih’s Big Ideas About the Environment Show from 12pm – 2pm on the lower level by the Children’s Play Area.

• The Trailside Nature & Science Center will staff an informational table for kids.

• Kids under 12 years can stop by the event to pick up a complimentary seed packet, while supplies last.
