Exit 13A marketing program launches
ONLY IN NEW JERSEY:
A marketing campaign for a Turnpike Exit!
There’s a new destination to shop, play and stay: Elizabeth’s Exit 13A off the New Jersey Turnpike with exclusive offers at Exit13A.com off the Internet
(Elizabeth, NJ) – A new marketing campaign and website (Exit13A.com) was launched today to promote exclusive offers at the many shopping, entertainment and hotel locations now open at Elizabeth’s Exit 13A off the New Jersey Turnpike.
Coordinated by the Greater Elizabeth Chamber of Commerce (GECC), the initiative is the result of an innovative public-private partnership forged by Elizabeth Mayor Chris Bollwage to help introduce a regional audience in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania to the growing number of opportunities now at Elizabeth’s Exit 13A.
“Elizabeth’s Exit 13A is one exit with many choices,” explains Mayor Bollwage in a radio ad that started airing on 1010 WINS-AM today. “At Exit 13A you’ll find the best outlet mall, a state-of-the-art movie palace, world-class home furnishings, great restaurants and terrific hotels so you can shop, play and even stay at 13A.”
The GECC took the lead organizing business partners to participate in the Exit13A.com cooperative marketing effort. “With such high caliber businesses all conveniently located around one exit, it made a lot of sense to team them together and market the one thing they all had in common – proximity to the Turnpike’s Exit 13A,” noted GECC Executive Director Gordon Haas. “This may be the first time anyone has marketed an Exit before!”
The Jersey Gardens outlet mall is one of the businesses in the partnership. “Jersey Gardens is thrilled to be a part of this innovative marketing program,” the mall’s General Manager Denise Palazzo pointed out. “We are confident that by teaming together, we can make a positive impact on millions of potential visitors in the tri-state area.”
To maximize the partnership effort, Mayor Bollwage instructed the Elizabeth Development Company (EDC) to help leverage State of New Jersey Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ) and Division of Tourism funds to broaden the marketing campaign, which included select radio, outdoor, website and brochure advertising.
“The businesses growing at Exit 13A have helped fuel the City of Elizabeth’s prosperous economic engine,” Mayor Bollwage added. “In addition to creating thousands of new jobs for local residents and prompting millions in new private investment, Exit 13A is rapidly becoming a destination for regional residents, business travelers, plus families and tourists on their way in and out of the Newark Liberty International Airport – which also happens to be accessible from our Exit 13A.”
Visitors who register at Exit13A.com will gain immediate access to exclusive offers from every participating Exit13A partner, including the Jersey Gardens outlet mall, IKEA, Loews Theatres, Residence Inn, Wyndham Hotel, Country Inns & Suites, Elizabeth Courtyard by Marriott, Hilton Hotel, Four Points by Sheraton, and the Hampton Inn.
