2011 Official Rules & Regulations
This year’s program begins on November 1, 2011 and ends on November 30, 2011. Customers must present receipts to the Mall Concierge Desk from any store or restaurant at Jersey Gardens. Qualifying receipts MUST BE FROM a retailer at Jersey Gardens on purchases made during the program period ONLY, and must be turned in by November 30, 2011 by 9pm.
All registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations and public schools in the Greater Elizabeth area are permitted to participate. Registration forms, nonprofit eligibility proof, and 501(c)3 letters must be received in the Mall Office by October 15, 2011. Registration forms received after that date will be disqualified. *A Minimum of 20 organizations must be registered by October 15th, 2011 for the program to commence.
Receipts may only be used one time and will be marked when presented to the Concierge Desk. The receipt must be the original. Duplicate receipts, photo copies, faxes and internet orders will not be accepted. Purchases of bus passes, faxes and photo copies cannot be redeemed for points. Store Credit Card payments and Cell Phone Payments, even if made to a store at the mall, will not be accepted for points.
Store employees may not request, or copy, receipts from store customers in order to redeem them for points. Additionally, stores (or store employees) may not hold receipts to give to nonprofit groups to redeem for points. Solicitation of stores by nonprofit groups to hold receipts for such groups is prohibited and may deem the group disqualified.
Each receipt value presented equals one point per one dollar spent. The customer will designate a nonprofit group from the list of qualified nonprofit groups.
Customers presenting receipts will be given one entry form per store receipt presented per day. Same-day receipts received from one store will count as one receipt, and the customer will be granted one entry form. For example, 3 separate transactions from Store XYZ on November 2, 2011 will count as 1 receipt since all 3 transactions were made on the same day, and the customer will be given one entry form into the weekly drawing.
Each week, one entry form will be selected at random to win a prize donated by a store or sponsor. Prize descriptions will be listed on www.jerseygardens.com starting November 1, 2011.
Each Monday of the contest, the weekly customer prize winners will be drawn and the nonprofit organization point rankings will be updated.
Winning customers of the weekly contest will be posted on www.facebook.com/jerseygardens and/or www.jerseygardens.com. Winning customers will be notified via phone, email and/or US Mail by December 15, 2011. Must be 18 years of age and a United States Citizen. Need not be present to win. Winners will be notified by mall management within 10 days. Winners have 60 days to claim prizes. All winners are responsible for paying any taxes associated with prize winnings.
Winning organizations will be posted on www.jerseygardens.com and/or www.facebook.com/jerseygardens or www.youtube.com/jerseygardmall. Winning organizations will be notified via phone, email and/or US Mail by December 15, 2011. Prize money will be compiled at the end of the program and presented to the winning organizations in lump sums as a Visa Rewards Gift Card. Gift Cards may be picked up in the Mall Office at any time after winners has been notified. All prizes must be claimed by January 31, 2012. Top 5 non-profit groups will receive a portion of the Magical Cause Visa gift card donation according to the following schedule:
1st place group will receive $1,500; 2nd place group will receive $1,250; 3rd place group will receive $1,000; 4th place group will receive $750; 5th place group will receive $500. Prize winners must complete a W9 form and are responsible for paying any taxes associated with prize winnings.
Jersey Gardens Management Office will make the final decision regarding any dispute. Jersey Gardens reserves the right to refuse suspicious or fraudulent receipts, or any receipt transactions breaking the above rules. Jersey Gardens reserves the right to modify these rules at any time without notice.
