ELIZABETH, NJ – The search is on! Local prom retailer Group USA and Power 105.1 radio are setting up their first ever fashion runway in Jersey Gardens looking to crown the ultimate prom queen.
On Saturday, March 13th, local teen girls are invited to visit the Group USA retail specialty store at Jersey Gardens. During a special event featuring a fashion show of the season’s most stylish prom gowns, a Group USA Prom Trend Expert will share insider fashion and beauty tips and the participants will have the rare opportunity to walk down a pageant runway and “get discovered” by Group USA. And if that’s not enough, one lucky prom diva will win the prom gown of her choice, have her look captured in photos and possibly be featured in the Group USA fall 2010 homecoming catalog.
Hosting the event and handing out prizes will be none other than Power 105.1’s very own queen Malikha Mallette, from “The Ed Lover” morning show. The judges’ panel will also be stacked with fashion authorities, featuring Group USA’s very own resident prom stylist.
The fun doesn’t stop there! Inside the Group USA store, trend experts will offer style tips and help in choosing the right look for any special occasion. Sips and sweets will be given out and those who purchase their prom dress will receive a very special gift (while supplies last).
